Trying to find ANY info on my grandfather, Dr. Jesse Cordine HARTER. He was member of your lodge. EA-3/15/1911; FC-4/15/1911; MM-5/31-1911. He died in Pueblo Colorado June 1928. I wondered if you had photos, or do you know of positions he held in the lodge? I am trying to piece together more info on my family- and I would appreciate anything you can share. thank you!

I will check further. Our records are generally hard to decipher but I will look further. I have checked all our Past Master Photos & names including years without effect.

Upon further investigation, I found that he was initiated on Mar 1, 1911, held over until March 15 when he completed the degree and as you have outlined became a MM on May 5th 1911. As far as offices he held…he was elected to the office of Senior Deacon on November 15th. Although elected he never sat in the position. I cannot imagine him being elected to so crucial a position, having to memorize much information in so little time. With this in mind he frequently did not attend lodge. I could not find any instance where he attended but remained a member. I followed him until December of 1020 where he still remained a member but never attended.

Thankyou! So, he was a Sr. Deacon! How interesting he did not attend Lodge often. that’s s shame. I know he was a doctor. And I know his daughter drowned at age 3 in 1924. that does not add up does it, as he was initiated in 1911. After 1920, they moved to Colorado. My father was born 1922, Colorado. Dr. Harter died 1928 , Colorado. Well boy, every little bit sure helps me. thank you for digging into this a little bit more!! Again, my sincere apology for such a delay in responding! You were so kind to get me some info. I was dabbling some more today in genealogy & though to look here again! glad I did!
